Default Gauges, Radio, and Dome Light not working.

Hello, all.

So....I have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Classic. It's been running great. Drove it to work this morning, no problems. Get out of work, start her up, and I don't have any gauges, the radio doesn't work, and the interior dome light doesn't work. Otherwise, everything is fine.

I've checked all the relevant fuses and everything looks good. I pulled a 15amp fuse from under the hood and it was blown. Replaced it with a new one and the dome light went on very briefly (10 seconds or so) and then the new fuse blew.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Chris

What condition are your grounds in? Is the interior floor wet and rusty? There are inside grounds as well as In the engine compartment.

Maybe pull all the related fuses in the fuse panel in the pass footwell. Install a new fuse underhood. Then reinsert interior fuses one at a time until the underhood one blows. That would narrow it down to which circuit.
