So I went to start the Jeep and it was DEAD my fans didn't even try to spin I jumped it and let it run it charged great but **** it off to try a restart and heard my fuel pump I took my key all the way out and it still didn't stop I looked a wires and they looked fine I don't know if there s any common issues but it's a 89 4.0 auto limited thanks for any help

sounds like the relay is stuck, pull the relay out and check the connections for corrosion

I agree, pull the fuel pump relay and see if the pump goes off

Suspension:Rough Country 4.5'' Short Arm (somehow it flexes like a long arm on mine)
Axles: HP D30 front with 4.56 gears and lockrite locker, Rear C8.25 with 4.56 gears and lockrite locker.
Tires: 33x12.5x15 Maxxis Bighorns
Wheels: stock JK steelies for now
Exhaust: sprint car muffler and glasspack
Misc. Mods: Nates4x4 recessed winch bumper, tuffstuff 12,500lb winch, cobra cb, rough country hd tierod upgrade, 1.5'' wheel spacers, doorless mod.
Coming Soon: interior cage, sliders, rear bumper, skids, long arms, eventually full chop and more cage work.

Where is the relay located.Is it a on pump unit?

check your starter soloenoid. The previous owner of my jeep hardwired the ignition. they had a few of the starter solenoid wires in random spots so when the key was turned on it would constantly prime!

It will be in the fuse/relay box under the hood near the passenger side fender
