Fuel Injector Questions
What would be the best next generation fuel injector to use in a 2000 Cherokee 4.0L?
I want to know which would NOT require changing the electrical connectors and would give me improved fuel mileage.
Thanks.

I doubt that you will get any improvement in fuel mileage by changing to newer generation injectors. Most of the newer injectors focus on better atomization to improve emissions or focus the spray at the base of the valves.
I work in diesel system product development at Bosch and have several friends in the gas FE product development group. These folks were invaluable when I converted my Chevelle to a tuned port injection system. Going from the quadrajet to TPI improved driveability but only raised the MPG by 5%.
To improve your fuel economy, consider reducing the pumping losses of your engine by reducing intake and exhaust restrictions or Google hypermiling.
Good Luck!
