Default Fuel Filter Replacment...

I have over 150,000 miles on my jeep and have never changed my fuel filter. Is it nessessary to do it often or when exactly......I only run 93 gas

Honestly I personally feel you should do this once a year just like you do with a tuneup..

It is on the driver side frame rail near the rear wheel well. a bolt for the bracket and 2 hose clamps.. Voila, that simple.

Yours being a 98 it is probably in the tank connected to the fuel pump.

Havn't changed one out of your model so you might want to refer to a chiltons or a haynes manual

yes the owners manual says its in the tank and never has to be replaced..Would yall agree

I would say an in tank fuel filter is good for the life of the fuel pump. I would definitely change the fuel filter while I had the guts out of the tank to change the fuel pump.

In tank filters only need to be replaced when you replace the fuel pump itself. Other then that don't worry about it.

Why do you run 93? Your jeep isn't made to run such high octane gas. Running 93 cause the pre-detonation of the gas in the motor. Run 87, maybe 89 every few tanks. Wasting your money- its not a high performance v8...
