O2S again!
ok last weekend i replaced the 2-2 o2s. cleared out the codes. the following day the engine light came on again. scanned the codes. its telling me that the one i just replaced (2-2) is faulty and 1-1 is bad now. replaced 1-1 saturday and cleared the codes. sunday my engine light is on again. still throwing a code for 2-2 but now it also says 1-2 is bad!!!
is this a common problem? replace one and have another one go bad ect.
the thing that get me is. if these o2s's are indeed bad, how come the fault codes are not showing till i replace ANOTHER o2s.
respectfully,
phil

i read the bosch o2 sensors are no good in the jeeps, not sure why just something i heard multiple times. Also if the ones you got required you to splice into the old harness rather than a new harness, there the 2 white wires. ones for the heater element inside the sensor and the other is +12v you cant get these mixed up or else it will throw a code.
hope this helps any.

One thing to consider on the downstream(behind the cat) is the cat could be bad causing the sensor to throw a code. I have been chasing a 02 code on my wife's 99 for about a year now and have thrown my hands up and saying to heck with the ozone...

im having so many problems w/ my 02 sensors throwing codes. just replaced the coil rail also. it ran like a top for 3 daze! no power from like 2000 rpm to 2700 rpm. just how it was when i first started out. with that said.
ive been reading up on possible culprits. one was the coil rail. but thats out. second was the crankshaft position sensor. third is a compression test. fourth is fuel injectors. now i just bought a pack of 6 refurbished from Performance EFI LLC
7409 Molokai St
Orlando, FL 32822 for $120. the flow test variances are below 1%. and the best part is they will buy the old ones for $40. so $80 for the 6-pack. going to try them out tomorrow.
is there anything else i should be looking @?
p.s. the codes dont register until 3 daze of normal driving.
