Default front axle question

when engaged in 4wd in my 93 xj there is almost like a rubbing noise when i take corners. going straight there is no noise though. i replaced the u-joints 2 weeks ago because there was a rubbing noise when engaged in 2wd and taking corners. now that i start to use my 4wd more often i am really noticing this noise. many ppl hav told me to have the ball joints looked at. any input would be great.
Thanks

Still have dust shields on the front axle? If so, they may be rubbling on the rotors.
Pull the dust shields and toss 'em in the trash, they do more harm than good.

Replaced your hubs yet? It just might be time.

Depends on which ones you want. Timken are the best for my money at about $125 each locally.

have the front axle "u"joints been replaced as well? not much more of a job if you have the wheel brgs out already

Don't forget to add lots of antisieze to the hub before re-installing it. Makes those pesky trail repairs a bit easier.

It's not a good idea. You get driveline bind, or windup. Over time this will destroy your transfer case.
