96xj everytime i floor it and shift into second or 3rd i break the driveshaft

Im on my 3rd strap clamp and yoke. What is wrong? Im not lifted?!?

Is this from making too much HP? My jeep is very fast, i think the motor might have been bored out. I cant help it, it runs like a raped ape lol. I beat a 4.6 mustang with it messin around.

If i do the f250 ujoint upgrade will the driveline break when i shift hard somewhere else??

What did motortrend do when they do a standing quarter mile test, and this happend. WTF?!? How do i know if someone else built it up?

What U Joint or straps are you breaking, the rear/rear? If its braking the straps on the axle side were the drive line is hooking up to the rear diff housing, you might be getting axle wrap . When you mash the gas, and it shifts from gear to gear, the lief springs might be so soft or wore out its letting the rear end rotate up towards the bottom of the floor board undr a heavy load or torque causing the u joint to bind up on the out put shaft. Just a thought!!!!

Or just don't floor it? Your driving a jeep, not a sports car

Are you breaking the drive shaft, or are you just breaking the rear yoke or u joint?
You talk about straps, I would do a u bolt upgrade, that would help the yoke live longer and use Spicer brand u joints. That said check your leaves and lay off the WOT shifts, like someone already stated the Cherokee isn't a sports car.
