Default Power Steering fluid swap

I've always used the turkey baster technique when I got motivated enought to change the power steering fluid, but I'm wondering if there is an easier/better way of doing it. I know many don't change this fluid, but I'm going over every fluid, filter, bolt, and electrical connector in an attempt to make this a reliable runner.

what is the best method for getting fresh power steering fluid in the xj?

i suppose you could undo a line at the steering box or just at the pump, but for simplicity, i have just used the turkey baster technique.

how do you do this turkey baster swap ?

my fluid is kinda brown. time to change it

and .. steer box has "NaCa" stamped on it, OEM ? 93 XJ 4x4 base HO

and .. thanks for whoever posted the "steering pop" fix .. regarding mount bolts for steer box .. been chasing that noise for 5 months

finally found it by turning steering with engine off / key forward unlocked wheel .. it got somewhat noisier after wheelin last weekend, easier to pinpoint the sound

engine side mount bolt took about 1 full turn, front bolt, just a slight turn .. pop is gone

Wow you did some digging to bring back a 3 year old thread.
Ever use a turkey baster? Just suck it out of the pump and refill with desired fluid. The system don't hold much..

I thought it would be more involved

so, I assume just run motor and suck old / add new until its cleaner? turn wheel and such to circulate it

so glad that pop is gone .. tryin to find that noise, I went thru entire steer linkage, all good there .. energy suspension boots are nice / smooth / thick
