Default Aftermarket Seats vs. Re-Upholstering?

Hi all. I just picked up a 98 XJ with almost 200k miles. The front seats are pretty well beat down (cushions are worn out). I would like to find a upholstery shop that can redo the seats, but I want them to put all new foam. Has anyone had this done, and have advice? I would rather they replace all the foam if possible, instead of just building up with another layer. Can it be restored to like new condition?

As an alternative, I have been looking at a couple of aftermarket seats that have a stock look. I like the Corbeau Sport and the Bestop Trailmax II Sport. They are both 22" wide at the widest spot, and I'm not sure if they will fit, and still be able to get your hands on the recline adjusters. Has anyone installed either one of these seats in a XJ? Do they fit OK?

ive re-stuffed my xj base area seats with new cushion material, specially where you go in and out either passenger or driver side gets worn out, it is doable i dont think all the old cushion material is removable, ive just put an extra new layer on top, the back rest area seems harder to do but i didnt try. the material i used i got from Home Depot 5$ 2x2 feet cushion foam, there is some velcro inside the seats that keeps the seams in place and that doesnt make it any easier to do.

Marc

edit: if you have a shop do this for you it probably wont be cheap cant say for sure never had it done, but if you can get your hands on a nice set for reasonable price you probably better off to do that, just depends how much you want to spend
