Default Engine Tranny R/R Sequence

Hey guys. Son and I are doing a dual jeep swap/build (Under "Operation Cherry (pit swap)" in the build area).
Got a 97 red 2wd with toasted motor (and I mean toasted, smells like a fire pit kinda burnt)
And found 92 4x4 w/82k miles, lockers and 4.56 on 33" with a 4.5" lift that is ugly. It was an off roader so low miles (but hard miles).

Price was right on both to make a single nice off roader, and sell some part outs to cover incidentals (of which there will be lots I'm sure).

So we are just about to start pulling motor/tranny's.
My question #1:
Which is easiest to do first, motor or tranny and ditto in reverse?
Seems its difficult to align the tranny to the motor (according to some) so that makes me think it best to pull the motor then tranny. then install tranny and motor in that order.
I don't have the space or equipment for any of this, so not ready to try and pull them while still together.
I'm concerned about the position of the 4x4 trans going into the 2wd body. Should be the same but if its not, then getting the motor in right could be a huge pain.

Open to help on this, but please don't just reply with an opinion if you haven't done this type of thing before. I would prefer the sage advice of experts who have done this in the past, but realize that we all want to help.

Also, Ive tried to find information on what connections to take off the trans. Haynes is very generic, "remove TV connection" "remove wiring harness". Not very helpful and no pics.
I've searched and cant find any real infor on the connections (wiring diagrams yes, but connection diagram no).
So question #2:
Anybody have a connection diagram showing what is what and what NEEDS to be disconnected prior to removing the trans?
For instance, there are two cables that connect to the driver side on the trans. One comes from the throttle body, the other ??? Not in the manual.
Doesn't seem like they disconnect from the trans very easily, popped the bolts, pulled from the bores in side of the trans, but hte cables stay locked in placed and dont free up with a little slack and some wiggling.

In case you haven't guessed this is my first AW4 removal (done manual trans/clutches before).

Thanks for your help
