Default Electrical Q

In the kick panel fuse box there are 3 unused slots, the manual shows them as "open" does this mean that they have no power coming into the slot, or can these be used for aftermarket power apps?

In my particular case they are #'s 9, 13, 24

Best way to find out is to use a light tester to see if they have power. I would ASSUME they are

He means they should have power, and are used for running fog lights, stereos, amps, etc etc etc

Yep. They do have power. I tapped into one after checking with a tester, which showed that there was power there, but I must be having a problem with the ground. I can't get the fogs to light up with everything hooked up like it should be.

Darn, I hate electrical stuff!!!

Have you jumped them directly to verify they actually work? I'm not much on electrical either.

I usually reserve "jumping" for the little woman.

I tested them with a tester. They show hot. I think the plugs for the wiring harness are somewhat loose and a ground may have come loose from one of the fog lights. I've got to take the wiring back out of the looms and see.

Okay, after all that, I still couldn't get the fogs to fire up. I took the mini adapter for the fuse box and trimmed off some of the plastic, where it would insert deeper into the fuse panel, and Bob's your uncle......

Is there no quality control on manufactured items anymore???
