Engine dies when hot
Hi guys. Newbie from Oz.
98 Cherokee 4.0 dies when it gets hot. If I was to go up a long really steep hill or drive 10 kms in soft beach sand the engine will die and not fire up again until it cools down, generally about 30 - 40 minutes. It runs OK until I idle the engine to look at the scenery then it just dies. After 30 - 40 mins it will fire up as though nothing had happened. Water temp stays on 95C (200F) I'm thinking it may be a fuel vapour lock or something like that.

Opinion has it that it could be the Crankshaft position sensor. I replaced it today, so we shall see if its fixed.
I had trouble finding it as people were saying its tucked up under the exhaust manifold. Wrong, its attached to the flywheel housing, cow of a thing to get to.
