Exclamation eng block coolant plug missing... help

While changing my coolant fluid i found my block coolant plug missing. I have no idea when the plug fell out or was taken out but i've been driving the car for a year and even have had it inspected and passed with no problems. How serious could this turn out. Also the engine block coolant temperature sensor seems to be gone too.. Does anybody have any inputs??

must be something else, or very recent. if you drove with a freeze plug missing, you would be pouring coolant out in large ammounts constantly

Can you get some pictures of where this plug goes? There is no way a freeze plug or block drain plug is missing as all your coolant would leak out and the jeep would not be driveable.

like i said above my maintenance manual has a diagram saying that there should be a plug in the hole on the first picture and a coolant sensor in one of the holes in the second picture... am i missing something or is it that my inline 6 block doesnt have the plug or sensor??

Thats the diagram for the RENIX engines. Your sensor is in the thermostat housing. everything you see are just bolt holes that don't go to anything. If you had a hole the size of any of those in your cooling system you would've cracked a head a looong time ago and had had major overheating issues

Take the money you were planning on spending for repairs and go buy yourself some good beer to celebrate!

You should just go ahead and lift it while you're at it. There's a set of NEW RC 3" shocks up by me for $75 and finding leaf packs isn't super hard, springs are also easy to come by. I just realized you're only a 2 hour drive from me

yeah i was thinking about just lifting it while i'm at it.

http://www.fullsizexjgear.com/RE%20P...ift%20Kits.htm

i'm looking at this lift online. RE6025 3.5'' lift for $585. I think its a decent price given it replaces rear springs and has all the attaching hardware but i cant tell if the shocks that it comes with are any good. any recommendations?? Maybe i could get it done cheaper?

RE kits dont come with shocks. only the budget boost lifts come with them.
