Default electrical insight needed

I just recently bought a 1990 keep Cherokee limited 4.0. I am having a bit of an electrical issue. When I start my rig it runs fine. Starts up as it should. Getting the power as I should. When I switch on lights or turn on the heater or any dash components my dash guage drops from 14 down to about 12.5. If run it it then eventually dies when I slow down and stop, but will start right back up a little bit later. During this time it seems to run a bit warm, not much but warmer and it starts running rough. I've replaced the alternator and battery and test both with a digital multimeter when it dies from loss of power but both readvery good. I'm going to clean me grounds today but need more guidance as to what to do. Please help.

Checking those grounds is probably a good idea. You may want to upgrade your wiring with one of 5-90's wiring kits. One of your wiring connectors may be damaged internally and isn't getting a good connection under high amperage draw.

So cleaning my grounds looks like it helped some. Once I turn on my lights or heater mu guage drops down. I'm going to go through the list you provided and see what I cone up with there. Im going to beef up my electrical system and cooling system soon, but i want to get rid I this issue first.

Excellent plan. Tip 1 gives you some simple upgrades to the main cables using off the shelf parts.

Tip 18 is also a simple upgrade/fix worth doing.

So my electrical drain hasn't gone away. Drove the jeep yesterday to run some errands and happened again. Stopped at a light and my gauge started to drop and my jeep almost died. Seems to do that when I run it for about 45 minutes still. I think I'm going to just do all the electrical upgrades including my instrument panel ground upgrade and replace my sensors. Hope that takes care of the issue.

Don't just replace the sensors. They can be tested.

Was hoping to test them today. But got called into work again. Hoping to test them saturday. As long as I don't get called in again. But you are right. No sense in replacing something that may be good. A waste of money and time.
