Yes, I mean more specifically. For example can I go to a J/Y and just pull the innards out of an 8.25 that is marked LS? Can I buy somthing like a automatic locker that is LS? Would I need to replace my axle?
Basically, if you had my axle and wanted to put LS in it, what would you do?
For all pratical purposes most of my 4x4 time will be spent in snow/slick roads where from what I have read is better to have LS than locker in the rear.

I would have a Detroit True-Track installed. Installing a locker or LS is not a job for soem one who has never set gears before..
