Door Handles
I have a 96 jeep Cherokee sport I can open the doors from the inside but not the outside I took the door panels off when I look on the inside at the mechanism it looks like there is a spring broken to return the mechanism to its resting position any ideas how to fix it or where I can find parts

Don't know offhand what spring broke. But a spring is a spring.
The cheapest fix:
remove the broken spring and if its an ordinary run of the mill typical coil spring, go to your local hardware store and match it up length and tension wise with a new spring.

The mechanism on the backside of the door handle itself? I dont know if you can buy just the mechanism (probably not), but if we are talking about the same thing, a new door handle will come with a new one.
