Ill start this off real fast, not sure what happened to this thing before I owned it, but somehow the long belt tension bolt (that slides the pulley up and down) is bent up pretty bad.

Im sick of dealing with it when I need to tighten the belt up, its a pita to get the idler pulley straight due to the bends in the bolt.....

So question is, what the heck is the technical term for it, and does anyone know where to find one on the cheap? Also would one from an earlier year work (in case I find a part out of sorts) due to the differing belt adjustment types (I know some have something to do with loosening the PS pump, and mine doesnt)?

I've been looking around but cant seem to find much of anything....so any tips or leads are well appreciated!

Just grab one from the JY. They fit from 96' up. Mine snapped and I got one off a Grand Cherokee for free from the junkyard. As long as it's a 96 or newer 4.0 it would fit.

Mine snapped when I was changing my belt. I picked one up at a dealer for like $12, I just called in and said the belt tension bolt on my XJ snapped and they had it on hand.

I have a 93 jeep country and I cant finde the replacement peices for mine at all, I can only find the kit for 1996 and up
