Death wobble NEED MORE HELP
I posted a thread earlyer this week. I put on my sway bar links. then went to a aliment shop and got it alighned. So i took it down the road and see if the death wobble would happen again it 55 and felt like it was going to happen again. so i didnt push it cuz to many cars around. Replaced trackbar. bolts good and tight. got it aligned. and still happend. would a bad stablizer bar still make it cause it. but wouldnt it make it happen at slower speeds also how come it only happens at 60+ PLEASE HELP

I went back and read some of your last post,I have a slight wobble in mine from raising it only 2",I always thought that only track bar was the problem,but after my son spoon fed me info on caster I began to understand that it is just as possible it could cause the issue also,Mine at this point is closer to o degrees than +8 where it should be,I also have bump steer which will be corrected with the track bar.
When you had it aligned do you remeber what your caster is?

Upper and lower control arm bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, and tires are the usual supects if it is aligned and caster/camber is set correctly.

I read on another forum that Jeep has actually recognized this issue and have a fix for it, or at least a solution that has worked for me. According to the post and info from Jeep, there official/non-official fix is to bring your front tire presure to 50lbs. yes this sounds crazy, but I have DW on my Jeep with new springs and trackbar and everything on the front it tight. I read that post and took my pressure to 50lbs and the DW is gone. try and it and see what you get. But remember that you are over filling your tires and this can be an issue, though I have been doing this for over 8 months with no problems and no death wobble.
other then that DW can be causes by
bushings, and that is any bushing in the front.
track bar/track bar mounts.
alignment, mainly toe adjustment...
wheel bearings.
breaks dragging/warped
tires out of round and or out of balance.
cracked unibody.
bad springs that can resonate at certain speeds.(cheap lift springs are the worse for this)
and last but not least going over 40mph in a lifted Jeep :-) hehehe

Hooked up sway bar links got it aligned. took it on the highway today and got a slight deathwobble at 55 once passed it it went away. so i think alighment curred the extreme deathwobble and so im going to put on a new steering stablizer since orignail one is shot. and see what it dose when i do that. do i have to get it aligned after i put steering stablizer on i was just wondering.
