Default dash lights fuse keeps blowing

my dash lights were working last sunday. now they decide to keep blowing the fuse. all the other fuse's are good. taillight one too. headlights work, but can that be the problem? its a 2 year old switch. its such a pain to change.

Does it blow the fuse as soon as you turn on the headlights?

If so...

Have you been inside the rear hatch lately playing with wires?

when i just turn the parking lights on, it blows.headlights still came on, didnt mess with any wires anywhere. they worked fine last sunday. i did put a new light socket on for the heater control light, a few weeks ago, but thats fine, i seen it when i had the control out to change my fan switch today.

Well then that shoots down the only lead I could give you. I am not an electrical expert and had a similar issue which was caused by wiring in the rear hatch. So I'll leave this one to the pros from here on.

yea i had that problem too. when i did my headliner and put the trim back on, the fuse for the dash lights and taillights kept blowing. so i took a couple of screws out and i think put shorter ones in and the fuse kept working after that. now its just the dashlights fuse.

well still a short somewhere, its just gonna hav to wait until a warm day again or spring. im gonna look at the wiring pics in my haynes book. it was raining today and i seen my passenger side upper corner of the windshield is leaking, that spot on the headliner is probably wet by now,it's damp about 6 inches across the front.
