Default Dana 30 Inner axle seals

I have a 90 cherokee with the Dana 30hp with the vacuum disconnect and the Seals went bad a while ago and I am getting ready to replace them but I can't find the seals. I have searched and have only found one of the two seals. Does any body know the part numbers, or know where I can order them from? Also what would be the best way to get the seals in and out?

I've seen people take out the carrier and shafts and insert a tube or long stick into the axle tube and pound the seals out.

Driver side seal is just outsice of carrier, pass seal is outside of vac disconnect. Both axles and carrier come out and old seals knocked out with long punch and pulled back in with screw driven special tool. It's basically a really long bolt w/nuts/washers and a piece that fits in the new seal. You put it in the axle tube and tighten the nut to pull in the seal one side at a time.

Mind you I have never tried it but have been told they can be installed through the carrier opening with a 1/2" turnbolt and two heavy washers welded to the ends of the turnbolt. Sounds good but never seen it done.

What about the new seals that you put on the end of the axle tube and then put the axle shaft through and and pump it full of grease, I was going to order some but then read that they dont work with the vacuum disconnect axle, does any body know if that is true or not?
Thanks

Alloy USA axle tube seals you mean? They should work on any dana 30. Check the manufacturer to be 100%. These are mainly just to keep debris out of the axle tubes, not keep fluid in or anything like that.

Come to think of it, you can get a threaded rod and some washers and make your own seal extractor. I remember doing my rear dana 35 outer axle tube seals and we used a 1/2" threaded rod with some large washer and a weight at the end. You put the threaded rod in, screw on the washer and nut inside the tube and then another washer and nut outside the tube against the seal and then one last nut at the very end of the rod. Take the weight (say, 5 or 10 lb round weight) and slam it against the end nut and it'll start working the seal out. You can buy this tool if you prefer that.

Ya, I was going to ordering a set when i took a final look at the part and at the bottom it said that it will not work with the vacuum disconnect, then I found another and it didnt say anything at all about the vacuum disconnect.

Be careful. Some unscruplous companies will sell you stuff that won't work and then refuse to refund your money. I don't think anyone has seals that will work with a D30 disco axle.
