Default D44 front and rear's, Wagoneer, or Grand Wagoneer?

I have D44's front, and back from an '86 Wagoneer. I have a missing axle, and need to order from a salvage yard. Thy said it was going to be $125 for a left front axle shaft. When I have them get me one in should they go by 1986 Wagoneer, or 360/727/229 Wagoneer, and does the Grand come into play on this? Can't remember which they are from, but I though "Grands" were the V8's, or I heard someone say that. They just went by 86 Wagoneer and I want to get the right part. Also, guy misplaced everything that holds and bolts and seals the axle shaft and the grease in there, so I need those also. I need to get this part asap.

The grand wagoneers had the D44 front. Al the rest of them had D30s. So just make sure it is for a D44 and you should be safe.

Thanks, when I called today I said Wagoneer, and he didn't know what Dana it was. I kinda thought the Grands were 44's but not positive, and I'm still new. I'll call and ask for a 86 Grand Wagoneer tomorrow.

You can always tell him it was the big one.

Tell him you need the shaft out of the one with the four sided diff cover.

All Grand Wagoneer's were 6lug after 73. The salvage yard wanted $125. I found a guy on Craigslist selling a complete 6lug Grand Wagoneer front drivers drop axle for $100. If it's wrong, I'll sell it, but it shouldn't be wrong.

What's the difference in the internals on a vacuum disconnect? I was looking on a website to buy parts and they asked that. I wasn't sure about which is which. How can you tell by seeing it in person? I'm sure my D44 isnt. Mine must be a non vacuum disconnect.
