D30 knuckles
I have a couple HP D30s. One is a 1987 with vac disco, the other is unknown year non disco, but needs a passenger side upper control arm bracket. Either way, I plan to use a HP D30 under my ZJ.
My question. Can I use my knuckles from my 95 ZJ on that 87 housing? 87 or 95 type balljoints needed? I will do the axle seal mod for the one piece axle (from my LP housing).

I would run the non disconnect housing. Depending on what suspension you plan on running you dont need the passenger side mount. I am not 100% on this, but I think the knuckles are the same, brake caliper mounts might be different though.

I want to use the newer knuckles, due to the ABS system. The older knuckle uses different unit bearings and the brakes are all different. It does look like the balljoints are the same across the years though. Seems the split for the balljoint change is for the WJ which uses different knuckles brakes and unit bearings. So my sort of guess is, I can use the 95 knuckles on the 87 housing.
I can still use the non-disco housing for my Ranger project, using a 3 link or one sided radius...
