cut, tub, trim, stuff

okay, so a bit too far...
i have a tendancy to take things way further than originally planned. after a bit of a wakeup call, id like to take my new found knowledge and stick it on a back burner. this truck almost became a play toy rather than the daily i originally bought it for so i could build a play toy.
with reality sunk in, i wont bother u all with nonsense day dreams, what would uall suggest doing for a daily? itll still end up offroad more than on road, so id like to keep a serious offroad frame of mine on it. im not on a budget by any means, as long as it gets done right and to the best of my ability. im just a cheap @$$ penny pincher. i cannot tolerate being stuck in stupid situations simply b/c the wheel with no traction is the only one spinning. i have no concern for mpg (i drove a BBC dually as a dialy for quite a while, so im used to $180 tanks that get me 300miles), and i dont like things that everyone has or builds (which is why i absolutely love ur rig KTM) not to mention i have no care in the world about damage nor looks. i still have no problem with fender trimming nor inspections as its a FL titled vehicle in NY. thx for ur tolerance. sry about my floodage of ur board.

PS: i still like the idea of tubbing the truck to clear 33s/35s with next to no lift. i simply like fab work more than kit mods, while making the same outcome. and my basic requirements for climbing ability... i will not stop working on it till i can put a tire atop a jersey barrier with the remaining three on the ground. i also have no objections to coilovers if necessary

I know when I was looking for tires to go with my 2in lift I was finding a lot of different information. Some people can run 31's with no lift and no rubbing. I ended up going with 30's on 2in with no trimming. So I would say with 2in + trimming you can easily pull of 31's..and I guess if you really wanted to..32's. I think though most people with 2in stick with 31's.

well, im talking about massive trimming above the wheelwells requiring tubs, clearing 33s maybe 35s stock if the axels will tolerate it.

yeah, differential work is no problem. for something structural and effective throughout any situation, its worth the investment for the outcome of enjoyment. its just a matter of knowing exactly what i need. but i also need to find out what axels i should do it all in 1st...

Trimming is great, but just remember your hot rod is a unibody. Everyspot weld and crossmember you cut must be put back in stronger than stock. You definatly don't want it to start stress cracking the unibody.
