Default custom bumper pics

Im not for sure if this is the right place to post this but???

I am thinking about making new bumpers for my 90 XJ but i need some ideas. I was wondering if every one who has a custom or one off bumpber could post some pics and maybe some info on metal specs and how they went about building it...

I love this set up buts its a little to much for me to do

Detours Backbone. Works in conjunction with the factory bumper and can custom ordered to work with aftermarket bumpers.

i've talked with custom fabricators about that, and they say it's cheaper to get the bumper and stinger separately, i think it's easier to ship that way. then you can just get someone you know to weld it on for you before you do all the painting.

my bumper is somewhat modeled after the rock lizard fab bumper.

just look around at other designs to get some ideas of what you want with the hoop then. i would suggest that for mounting you take it far back enough to utilize the steering box, thats where mine mounts to, and it's not going anywhere.

That first one looks like a recipe for a twisted frame in any collision over 1.5 mph.

The firsts set up for coilovers and prerunning(i.e. Baja tires, coils overs...)

And it would probably hold up better than a stock XJ in a collision...if its done right...
