Hello, so for the 4th time this summer my 98 has died while sitting in traffic in the hot sun. The engine dies and then once it cools for about a half an hour it will start. You can crank it all day but it wont start till it cools. When i got it home I plugged in the scan tool and got P0320. It only stalls when it gets hot in the engine bay. It will start again once cooled off. It works for a couple weeks and then fails only for it to work a couple more weeks. I have also seen that aftermarkets are a bad idea as they can fail prematurely. I found the part on wermopar and was wondering if that's a good one to get. Is this the correct problem and part? Also the CEL did not come on. I just plugged in the scan tool hoping I would get lucky. I didn't check for codes on the times it died before this.
Thanks, Justin

I have seen cam sensors cause your issue, but I have also seen crank sensors and PCMs cause it too.

I had the same issue on my 99. I replaced the CPS , same problem. Turned out it was the cam sensor but on the 99 they don't call it that, they call it a pick up coil or stator. It's in the distributor right under the rotor. Easy 5 minute fix drove me nuts for months. Don't know if the 98 is the same.
