I decide to taker over the control and start to find out what the problem cut be. I borrowed a scaner and it reads codes P0201, P0202, P0203, P0204, P0205 all related to a malfunction of the injector control circut. I dont know what that really means,,,,, Can someone explain in easy word what da heck its that problem,,,,
I already check the spark plugs,,all the earth wiring to the block, visual check for bad cables and connectors, all sensor seems to be working, but ....
Please help I dont want to spend more money in shops without knowing whats really going on.

EDIT: is this a Cherokee, or a Liberty,..?

If cherokee,...

See if you have 12V power to the injectors, the Computer grounds the circuit to make the injectors operate.

Ohm the injectors and see if they read close to each other. I dont know the specs right off hand,....

Thanks for the interest,, Its a 2000 Cherokee, 6line 4.0, 2 door, manual transmision.
I already check all the injector plugs with the bulb and turns on in every one,,,,,, a short on the wiring??? maybe I`ll recheck. I had a mechanic friend taking a look and checking around for almost anything that he knew and no answer, he don`t know what`s the problem..he didn`t charge of course,, but lend me the scanner and after loosing and checking sensors the yellow engine sign came so I rescan and all those codes came out. I bet its something stupid,,, but dont know what else to look for...

When my engine started to run bad, missfired, etc,,,,, at the first moment I tought Opps dirty injectors,,, but they where clean, the engine has been well maintained by the book,
and this came out of nothing one night when I turn it on a month ago.

I wanna say the ASD(autoshut down relay) provides the power to the injectors(this is just what i remember reading on my Factory service manual for my 99), and the PCM provides the ground. Double check you got 12V into the injectors, then you might have to do some continuity tests with the PCM side of the injector connectors. See if the wire is good from the injector to PCM and not grounding out somewhere.

OR,... you list P0201-P0205, but not P0206, which is for cylinder #6, can you swap the injector over to another cylinder to see if the code for p0205 go away and p0206 appear?

I found the P020X code diag tree in my Service manual, but its bed time. I'll post it up tmorrow if i have time. Gotta get ready to take my Jeep to the trails Friday. Good luck!

FSM lists as possible causes;
Autoshut relay output circut open(no 12V to injectors)
Defective injector
Inj Control CKT wiring harness Intermittent defect
Inj Control CKT wiring harness observable defect
Injector Drivers circuit Open
Injector Drivers circuit shorted to ground
PCM defective

If your wires that go from the injector to the PCM and pinched somewhere and are grounding, this will cause the injectors to be operated longer than usual and ruin the injector

p0203 is a misfire on number 3
p0205 is a misfire on number 5
p0123 is a T.P.S. sensor and PCM

You should probably check that again.

P020X codes are injector codes.

P030X are misfire codes.

i have been working on this since last week. i just plugged in the programmer it says the same 5 codes. i don't know know what else to do. I have put sea foam into the gas tank in two different tank fulls. I have also run sea foam through the main vac line so it cleans out the EGR valve.

Does the engine start and run?

The best way to check fuel injectors is by using a Noid Light. You can rent the set from auto parts stores. There are videos on Youtube that show how to use the Noid Light.

If all injectors are working, using the Noid Light, injector timing may be off. The Camshaft Position Sensor (CPS) sends signals to the PCM that lets the PCM know which injector to activate and the exact time to activate it based on camshaft position. If the CPS is defective in some way the injector time may be off.

If, using the Noid Light, all the injectors are not firing I would suspect a bad PCM.

Here's the 2000 Diagnostic manual P0201-P0206 possible causes:

P0201-INJECTOR #1 CONTROL CIRCUIT

When Monitored: With battery voltage greater than 10.4 volts, the auto shutdown relay energized, injector pulse width less than 10ms, and engine speed lessthan 3000 rpm.

Set Condition: This trouble code takes .64 to 10.0 seconds to set when no inductive kick is sensed .18ms after injector turn off, and with no other injectors on.

POSSIBLE CAUSES

WIRING HARNESS INSPECTION

ASD RELAY OUTPUT CIRCUIT

FUEL INJECTOR

FUEL INJECTOR DRIVER CIRCUIT OPEN

FUEL INJECTOR DRIVER CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND

POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE
