Default Changed O ring, now no speedometer

Hey guys-

98 Cherokee SE, 2.5l, AX 5 transmission

I changed the O ring on my speed sensor yesterday (chasing a leak- turns out it was elsewhere, but its leak free now), and now my speedometer wont work. It's an electric sensor, not a manual one. I've looked everywhere trying to find some info on how it connects inside the transmission, thinking that I accidentally broke something inside that I will need to replace. I replaced the sensor in the same location I had before, as I marked it before removal.

Worth noting- a few times in the past, my speedometer would go out after running over a bump. It happened 2 or 3 times before, but always came back on after I restarted the jeep.

Any ideas before I get a multimeter out there and test it?
