Reservoir bubbling
Hey guys
96 XJ
All new parts. Sparks wires cap rotor pre and post cat o2 sensor cps radiator thermostat water pump fluids oil change transmission tune up radiator cap muffler etc.
Idle for 20 minutes temperature goes warm because I don't have the fan shroud because it broke. Viscous fan works same as electric. Noticed one day it didn't have any fluid. No leaks. Might have been an airlock so I added fluids.
Since the new radiator it's been bubbling in the reservoir tank with ignition off only and the temperature goes to normal. Last night it was too full and bubbling which I figured is normal. Then this morning found its low on fluid again :/ whatever I'll figure that one out later. I haven't had a piston pressure test. It's not leaking oil no oil in water no water in oil so I highly doubt it's a cracked head gasket but not positive. Usually they'd be blowing some sort of smoke and have fluids mixed but there isn't.
Also maybe coincidence but 4th gear in the transmission is slipping when it's at idle for 20 minutes temperature. Wife wants to walk and deliver leaflets as I watch the kids in the truck if yous were wandering. Ever since new radiator.
