Seriously *91limited-xj there is no brake compressor, maybe your thinking of the Air conditioning compressor? which will go on with your defrosters also...Tj

I read this earlier today. Went outside and looked under the hood of my Grand. Thought I was missing something new. Then I figured it must be a XJ thing. Glad to hear I haven't lost my mind...........or I should say, what mind I have left.

All kidding aside maybe it is the ABS compressor on the Bendix ABS system. What a bunch of jokers.

I actually didn't know that there was a pump. But then my ABS light has been on for 4 months. I just haven't removed the bulb yet. I hate ABS it is a pain in the rear.
