Blower motor connection - not working
2000 xj - got it without an engine, trans, parts.
Its now running - swapped a 96 engine. Blower doesn't work on any setting. Bower motor on pass side engine bay has two newer non stock I'm assuming wires from the side of the blower motor - not sure where these go. No other plugs on my harness I can find. There is also a 2 spade female connector coming through the firewall where the blower motor comes through. Not sure what this connects to.
There is also a yellow connecter behind/above the glove box connected to nothing. Whats that for?

The connector for the blower motor is a two contact connector. If you're unsure about the connector, put a voltmeter (or troubleshooting light) across the two terminals in the connector, turn the blower switch off position and there should be 0 volts across the terminals.
Turn the blower motor switch to ON - Hi and there should be 12+ volts across those two terminals. Then thats the blower connector.

Well Im assuming the to spade connector on the side of the blower housing where there are two new wires is for the blower motor power. Where does this connector come from that plugs into the blower? Is it from the engine harness or inside the vehicle?

Read below.
I had an issue where when i replaced the motor, i couldn't get that short harness connector to snap into the blower connector.
Couldn't see a thing in that tight space!
Removed the blower motor AGAIN so i could see whats going on.
The spades in the new after market blower motor were for a lack of a better term, floating around!
Connected the now lengthened harness cable to the blower and bolted in the whole works. PITA is putting it mildly.
Would of been a lot easier if i didn't have AC.
Sacrificed some skin and blood to my Jeep in the process! lol
Dam Jeep and their short wire connectors!

Figured it out. removed the blower, spade connectors were loose in blower making it hard to connect. Still no power at the blower plug. hit it with direct power and it worked. Had power at the little fuse in the box, and big fuse in the block (engine bay). Using the wiring diagram I checked the relay and had power at pin 86 but not 30? Not sure why. Swapped the relay and it works. Thanks for the help!
