Block drain plug
Anyone have a idea where the coolant drain plug is engine block for a 98 jeep cherokee 4.0L. I looked everywhere and don't see it unless the bolt is pulling double duty and holding something else to the engine too. Thanks!

Look on the driver's side of the block, behind the exhaust manifold. You should see a square recess - this is the drive recess for the plug. It is 5/6" or 8m/m (same thing either way,) and you can make a tool fairly quickly from a cheap hex key (instead of buying a spendy one off of the tool truck.)
I am informed that the plug is threaded 3/8" NPT, and you can therefore secure a replacement at the local hardware store. One thing I plan to do is to put a valve in on an elbow to replace that silly plug...
