Best Weight oil for Cherokee?
Wondering what be the best weight oil for cherokee this spring and summer puttin new rear main seal in it and oil pump.

40 weight. Depending on where you live/how cold it gets, you could run straight 40 or go with either 10w/15w-40. They are still 40 weight, but thinner weight at lower temps.

It depends on several factors....
The milage and condition of your motor.
The climate you live and work in.
The type of enviroment you use your jeep in.
The type of usage that your jeep gets.
The factory spec was 10w-30 except in extreme northern climates then a 5w-30. But that is only a starting point.
