Well I am rebuilding my exhaust system and I had no problem getting my muffler off. I would like to install a new high flow cat and I can't get the old cat off. Is there a trick? I have an OA torch and a propane torch. Thanks for any help.

I had a hi-flow cat installed on my ZJ at a muffler shop. I don't like exhaust work. I took the cat, $25 bucks and a 12 pack, no receipt. Bob's your uncle.

mines is an 89 and I just unbolt it at the square flange,if needed I use a sawsall to cut the pipe to get it out, then just make sure everything is lined up with the new one and weld it up,I like to use a clamp to get it back out if I need to.

You have a 95 so you wont have the square bolt on flange. Easiest way to get it off is with a grinder.

Unbolt the downpipe from the exhaust manifold and unplug the 02sensor.Remove it all and move to workbench. Run the grinder along the cat's flange where it slides over the downpipe till you just cut through it. Once you get beyond the downpipe it'll loosen and be easy to pull off.

Or you can grind upside down laying on your back if thats your thing...

Take an air cutting wheel and cut along pipe where it connects to the down pipe . Its just crimped on so it will pull right off. I have a 96 and replaced mine the same way 3 days ago. Easy fix
