Just got my jeep out of the shop and learned some bad news about Bosch Platinum... The side that screws down into the motor busted apart so a piece of porcelain and platinum is lost some where in my motor (no harm done so far).... The mechanic said these spark plugs have a stupid design, what happens is the electrode wears down till it's beneath the porcelain, then what happens is it's sparking beneath the porcelain and that causes it to break apart into the motor.... I'm changing mine asap......

This is one of those questions people can argue forever like which letter of the alphabet is the best lol Pick what you like and what you think will work for you

There probably are better plugs than what come with them, but they work well.
I have heard on 97+ NGK's are best and champions or non-platinum for older XJ's

Yep, Im also involved heavily in the shooting community and the "better throttle response" statement you see whenever someone does an upgrade and gets no improvement, is the the same as the "if I do my part" that shooters use when claiming their rifle is MOA at 1000 yards.
What kind of 1,000 yard Shooting do you do?

X3 with the Accel kit.. Just make sure you properly gap the plus and not rely on what they set them at the factory.. My Jeep ran rich over time and found out that the plugs were completely out of gap spec..

I am using the NGK ZFR5N spark plug for my 4.0. I also recommended this spark plug for your vehicle because it comes with lower emission features and good fuel economy.
