Ehh...i don't know. I've read TONS and TONS of spark plug threads. Regarding the Cherokee, and my WJ. The general consensus was stick with what it came factory equipped with. So, i run basic copper plugs.

Just got my jeep out of the shop and learned some bad news about Bosch Platinum... The side that screws down into the motor busted apart so a piece of porcelain and platinum is lost some where in my motor (no harm done so far).... The mechanic said these spark plugs have a stupid design, what happens is the electrode wears down till it's beneath the porcelain, then what happens is it's sparking beneath the porcelain and that causes it to break apart into the motor.... I'm changing mine asap......

Yep, Im also involved heavily in the shooting community and the "better throttle response" statement you see whenever someone does an upgrade and gets no improvement, is the the same as the "if I do my part" that shooters use when claiming their rifle is MOA at 1000 yards.

If that was the case by your chart Silver is the absolutely best choice.
But we all know that Silver would NEVER stand up to the punishment found in the modern combustion chamber.
As with EVERYTHING in life we are looking for the Best compromise.
Platinum and iridium have excellent mechanical properties that will withstand for a long time the heat and pressure of the combustion chamber AND give a pretty decent electrical conductivity.
I use Bosch Platinum in every engine I have from the lawn mower weed whacker to my Jeeps and my wifes Saturn to my dads 09 fusion.
And I have a pretty interesting story on why I have fallen in love with them. PM me and I'll tell it.

If you want to experiment with plugs go ahead. It's your dime.
You may find the hype of a certain brand to be true and you may not Your mileage may differ. Find what works for you.
Don't be afraid to ask for opinions. Only you can make the decision.

Just don't fall for the Chicken Little the sky will fall and Mankind will be wiped from the face of the earth if you don't follow my orders and use Brand XXX

BTW, they do make silver spark plugs but they are like $40 bucks a piece. After trying about every spark plug available we run one step colder than stock copper in all our vehicles.

i run champion on all my jeeps, and its what we run on all 4.0 and 4.2 jeeps in the shop. never had an issue with them.

i have a hard time believing the hearsay of people noticing a huge difference in plug brands. normally you only notice a difference if the plugs you are removing are worn/out of gap..... Idle, throttle response, gas mileage, and general driveablity are all going to seem to improve when doing a needed tune-up. Regardless of the plug brand.
