I use 6 Qts of T6 and .5 qt of MMO with one of the 51515 Wix filters. Been running this combo for 40k+ miles and it is fantastic. 5K mile Oil change intervals but I could probably go to 6K miles and still be OK.

Great combo, and I seldom hear my noisy lifters unless it is really really cold out.

With that you could easily go 10k+ as long as you are not doing just city miles. Mopar reccomends 7.5k with dino oil.

I use this very same combination. Still have a little noise, but much less than I had before. I just wonder if the T6 is a bit too thick for Illinois below zero winters. Maybe a touch more MMO?

The ticking is the vacuum pump solenoid being energized and de-energized in rapid fashion by the PCM to build 3-6 inches of water pressure in the evap system. If the evap system has a leak the vacuum pump will run continuously (incessant ticking noise) because the minimum pressure of 3 inches of water cannot be sensed by the PCM. There's a reed switch that makes/breaks by diaphragm movement (up/down). This reed switch let's the PCM know the solenoid valve has opened exposing the pump diaphragm to engine vacuum, and it has been drawn upward by the vacuum closing the switch. The closed switch signals the PCM to de-energize the solenoid valve, cutting off engine vacuum, allowing the diaphragm return spring to push it back down. This up/down-energized/de-energized action represents the duty cycle of the vacuum pump, creating that clicking noise, and it will continue until the PCM doesn't need to operate it any more. That occurs when the evap system pressure remains between 3-6 In/H2O pressure, which is monitored by the PCM. A constantly running, or intermittently running vacuum pump is symptomatic of a leaky evap system.
