Default Best fuel injectors for 2001 4.0L

What are the best fuel injectors for the 2001 4.0L?

I remember reading on this forum about mustang 4.0 injectors (or something like that) being the best, but I can't find the thread.

I'm glad you asked. I don't feel like searching through the 1000's of threads on the topic. Mine is 2000.

only ones you can use on a 00-01 are the ford xf2e-c4b's

these are the vehicles you can pull them out off.

FORD E-150 ECONOLINE 1999 4.2l v6
FORD E-250 ECONOLINE 1999 4.2l v6
FORD F-150 (1999 - 2002) 4.2l v6
FORD MUSTANG (2001 - 2004) 3.8l v6
FORD RANGER (2001 - 2004)
FORD RANGER EDGE (2001 - 2004)
FORD TAURUS (2001 - 2005)
FORD WINDSTAR (1999 - 2003) 3.8l v6
MAZDA B3000 (truck) (2001 - 2003)

do your research on how to clean them though, dont want to put used injectors that have been sitting for months in your jeep i imagine. make sure to get new o-rings to.

some say you can notice a bit more throttle response. Can expect better mpg because the fuel sprays out of 4 holes instead of 1 single hole therefor it atomizes better. Idle can become smoother.

I personally didnt notice anything except a smoother idle. I like to think it helped my fuel economy out but havent measured it.

the injectors listed above are ONLY for 00-01 models though as the fuel rail runs at i believe 49 psi, and the rest have psi regulators on them.

Emaxx620 is right on with these injectors I got mine out of a 98 and 2000 windstar yes I got 2 sets you know just in case. I got smoother idle snappy take off and it seems a bit better mpg I haven't even bothered to figure it out (mpg) I'm happy with smoother idle and better take-off.

This also what I get from using proper fuel injector for my XJ. You'll notice the difference.

Well I don't want to get used ones, so i guess getting news injectors made for one of these vehicles would be the thing to do.

99s also have the EV6 connector. It's better to seartch either for the injector's manufacturer part# or Ford/Chrysler/Dodge part number. This eliminates the Vehicle/year search which just confuses the hell out of people.

Bosch part number 0280155917 <--- I run these. 3 mpg increase, smoothed out quite a bit and got some "snap". These are 19#/hr for stock 4.0s.

yea, guess your right about the 99's. for some reason i thought some people said it was hit or miss on the fuel rail they used.
