I used plasti-kote from walmart. I like it. Rough and thick for the interior. May be hard to clean tho. I heard the rust-oleum may be good for underneath tho. Just buy a undercoating gun and spray it w/compressed air.

I did my bumpers, bottom of my doors and rocker panels with herculiner. I love it. Looks damn good and you don't have to bother with a spray gun.. Its roll on. Has lifetime warrenty and its only like 40 bucks at walmart for a gallon can of it, a roller, a brush and the thing you put paint in. Its damn good

I've got walmart plastic coat on the inside of my XJ and I must say the Herculiner we did on the inside on my buddies TJ is holding up much better. We did the same prep work for both but probably a little more for the XJ. I would say either go with herc or for just an under coating use the arosal version of plastic coat.

shoot buy me a gallon and send it this way at that price! My walmart just remodeled and stopped selling it but it was $75 a gallon... i just had to get a quart at Autozone for $30 and autozone wants $90 for a gallon! although ive used them all and herculiner has been the best to me... just alittle high in price but you get what u pay for... i odnt mind spending the money on herculiner... i just hate spending the money... lol

So those of you that do the interior, what do you do about the heat? I don't have carpet in mine right now do to it getting soaked and stinking up the interior, and I know it gets all kinds of hot in the cab and you cannot touch the tranny hump at all. does the liner help with the heat?

Good stuff. I'm going to go with the herculiner in my Jeep. Does it come in a variety of colors, or perhaps it can be tinted?

That I'm not sure of...it's a oil base which shouldn't make no difference...The only thing I'm not too sure of is if it will hold up (bond) as well with tint? Hit up your local Sherwin Williams or hardware store if no Sherwin Williams and ask an associate...As far as I know it only comes in black tho...

its gloss black at first but id say within 2 weeks it turns flat black... i asked that one time on yahoo answers and looked all over google for like 2 hours trying to find out if the chemicals would counter act or something and nobody could tell me crap... i did find that you can roll it and then paint over it and the paint will hold... but i dont know about if you paint it and its on the floor with your feet eating it up... maybe talk to a lineX or Rhino guy and see what they put in theres for color... maybe you can buy some?
