battery light problems

battery light problems
just got a comanche and it need a new battery when i got it so i got one. now after i turn my keys off my battery light stays on. the light dont stay on when its running. just when i turn it off. so i checked the voltage on it 12.5 not running and 14.5 running. any help would work thanks.

Check the ground for the altenator and make sure it is good. That may solve your light thing.
