Optima is good for that, need to check the battery you have now tho to make sure you're getting a full recharge from the alternator. At one point i was thinking i needed a new battery, so i had mine tested and they said it wasnt charged fully.. I'd been driving it for an hour. Turns out my alternator isnt putting enough juice up for a full charge. You gotta take how much power you're drawing and compare to how much you're making. Im throwing a GC V8 alt. in mine whenever i go to the junkyard next.

Checked the ground strap on he firewall and surprisingly its in good shape
