Ok, I have a junkyard axle to put in the front and in the future I will be getting a winch and logan bumper. As of rt now I want to raise the front end with coil spacers when I put in the axle and have it all apart. I also want to get a drop pitman arm to help the geometry of the stock steering that I will be runing with junkyard axle. The RE pitman arm that I am looking at is 1" longer than stock. If I get two inch coil spacers would I need to get a 3" drop pitman arm? I would also like to limit articulation of the left front (droop?) To keep the front driveshaft from hiting the down pipe of the header. I have a 97' sport with a 4.5" RE superflex with 32' tires. Any ideas or thoughts would help thanks.

Hi everyone.
I'm new here. I've a standard Cherokee XJ 2.5L 1994 model. Basically I decide to
buy a Flowmaster 40 series.

However there are option for me to choose in terms of inlet/outlet measurement diameter.

My question, what is the correct measurement inlet/outlet diameter for me to choose?.

I've looked in the internet but did not found the answer. Hope you guys could help me on this.

Many thanks,
Matt

p/s : sorry if I open thread in a wrong procedure

Offroadnut and KY_Bob .. yea if is Calif and has four not the five the autoZone guy said. Two pre cats in the header. There are two O2 sensors above the pre cats and two below. None after the Cat just before the muffler.

Here are the codes:
P0135-oxy sensor heater - bank 1 - Sensor 1
P0141 - oxy sensor heater - Circuit bank 1 - sensor 2
P0155 - oxy sensor heater - Circuit bank 2- sensor 1
P0161 - oxy sensor heater - Circuit bank 2 - Sensor 2
P0158 - oxy sensor - Circuit high voltage - bank 2 - sensor 2

Default Would a stuck/ collapsed lifter sound similar to an exhaust leak?

I just purchased a 91 XJ 4.0L with 200k miles on it. There is a "tick"-"chug" noise mainly heard at the top, but also at the bottom too. I pulled the valve cover and found I have a collapsed lifter (back one of number 5 cylinder). With a remote starter I held on to the pushrod and the cam pushes the valve up and down so I know the cam's not flat. When I'm driving on the freeway it really sounds like a quiet exhaust chug. Would a stuck/ collapsed lifter sound similar to an exhaust leak? Or is it more likely I have both?

do you have an aftermarket trackbar with a trackbar drop bracket?

I'd buy a new lifter and replace the one thats collapsed, then see if the problem goes away before trying to chase down any other gremlins. If you can't replace just one lifter I think a set is only like $50~

the tick/chug noise sounds very typical of a bad lifter from what I know of them. A buddy of mine had it get so bad in his TJ that it literally sounded like a diesel.

Here are the codes...eep changed all the O2 sensors, 160k on the jeep anyway and I don't know when they were last changed.

Oh yeah the codes:
Here are the codes:
P0135-oxy sensor heater - bank 1 - Sensor 1
P0141 - oxy sensor heater - Circuit bank 1 - sensor 2
P0155 - oxy sensor heater - Circuit bank 2- sensor 1
P0161 - oxy sensor heater - Circuit bank 2 - Sensor 2
P0158 - oxy sensor - Circuit high voltage - bank 2 - sensor 2

Like I said I changed all four O2 sensors.

I have a 2000 cherokee and just realized that the PO sold me a jeep with only 2 bolts holding the steering box on. The third one is broke in the mounting hole of the box. Do I take the box off to get the bolt out or will that give me more problems? I plan on instaling a new spacer for the steering box while I'm at it.

i have a sound coming from what seems to be under the valve cover. it is a ticking sound. i am wondering if this is worn out valves, or the adjustable piece on top of the lifters being worn out. since i replaced the engine i have used one quart of lucas at every oil change. does anybody know what this is? im almost ready to buy a remanufactured head
