Finally got the brake disc off. Made quick work disassembling everything else. The u joint didn't want to budge so I just picked up a new axle from the parts store. Swapped that on and put everything back together. Now the wheel doesn't want to turn and I have no brakes. The wheel bind I think might be due the the cv set up that the axle shaft now has or the abs ring. The brakes have me stumped though. I didn't break any line seals and it is full of fluid but the pedal now just goes to the floor. Also what is the thread pitch/size of the caliper mounting bolts? My one has fubared threads.
So much for getting this thing back together for work tonight.
About ready to just unload the money pit.

uh you know WJ hubs have a 5x5 bolt pattern right? Short answer - no it won't work.
If you're trying to get a 5x5 bolt pattern to match a rear axle setup, you'd have to swap both sides, along with the knuckle and a bunch more stuff. Steering connects in a completely different way also. Basically it's a ton of work for very little gain.

Ok then. In the pic is a bunch if relays or fuses (i think). My question is, which one goes or controls the fuel pump or anything fuel related? Tried and pulled em all, connected 87 to 30 on them all and didnt hear the pump kick on. So this means the pump is shot or did i do it right?
btw: the front of the jeep is --->
and its a 90 laredo.

Hey all I need to replace my radiator and heater core. Two questions: Is it best to do these at the same time sinceI would have to drain the system anyways. And how much of a pain is it to do the core? My fist time messing with one... Thanx

Floor seam
Alittle tip. Up front where floor meets padding you will see rubber strip that is like a seam. It will rust under that rubber and down the road leak from eathe AC or ground water. Peel it off and put some fiber glass ir what ever you are useing.

Never done one on an xj but heater cores always seem to be a pita. If they both need replacing I would knock them out at the same time.

Can someone tomorrow crawl under their rig and take a picture of where the black wire, ( I assume its a ground ) coming off of their downstream o2 sensor goes? Mine got damaged on Saturday and I would like to put it back.

1989 cherokee overheating while climbing
i have 1989 jeep cherokee with bullet proof 4.0, 4x4 ,automatic tranny, which i have change everything from closed system to open system with all aluminum 3 row radiator, no thermostat, new heater hoses, new over flow bottle, running one gallon of 50/50 coolant and the rest water. have removed engine fan and have dual electric fans both on switches and while driving normal temp gets around 180-200 but as soon as i start going up hill temp rises as high as 240... and starts boiling. so i shut it off and let it cool down and continue climbing. this is an off road vehicle so i dont drive it on the street. i need some suggestions on what to do from here to keep it from running hot while climbing?
