I have a few questions about my exhaust
Does any one know the OD tube diameter for an 01' XJ SE (4.0L manual) exhaust (its either 2" or 2.25") I need to replacs the flange and donut before the Cat
Also, do all 3 bolts at that connection need to be (or should be) the ones wih springs? And what size do I need (the ones there now are unrecognisable , and only 1 is the spring bolt, not.sure of.that is right or not)
Thanks!

Could you post a picture? It's been a long time since I crawled under the '01 I used to have. And for anyone else reading, all '01 (and "California Emissions" '00) models have the two pre-cats in the manifold, a full cat after the downpipe, and four O2 sensors. I suspect the flange is different from earlier models.

I hate when my rig spiders.. Could be o2 sensor related.. Though they report, not generate info.. So you cleaned the TB and replaced the TPS and IAC. those would be the thingies no? Ignition coil and grounds all good. Overall tune up status? Prob 2- start jeep and look for leak. cracked line most likely. Wont see it till system is under pressure. Also look for coolant built up around T stat/water pump. Next time please try to use words, not sounds to describe parts. If you don't know the name post a pic to help indicate.. And work on that sentence structure.
Sorry about that, I didn't have time yesterday and I did that by voice on my phone and I didn't have my glasses to check what I wrote.
You nailed what I meant to say.
Looking further for the anti freeze leak, I am leaning towards one of the rear freeze plugs. Hopefully it is the side and not the rear.
Okay, I cleaned the Throttle Body, Replace the Sensor. Cleaned the IAC and replaced both O2 sensors. Still putting out code for the O2 Sensor. Need to check the wiring for the upstream harness.

Today I am going to get a mirror and flashlight and try to pin point more exactly where it might be leaking.
Thanks for the info.

holes in floorboard
Whatever you do, DO NOT fill the holes with bondo. They will absorb moisture anytime exposed and will pop right out. Get a kit from your local auto parts store and use Fiberglass. That is completely watertight and will last a long time unless done improperly or impacted hard.
Hope this helps.

There are six. One front, one rear, four on the side. The rear requires pulling the engine.

Haha, the dictation always gets me into trouble.. I thought auto correct was bad Anyways, good to check the harness for shorts.. Older jeeps and their wiring issues, oh boy! I had a long standing issue with my upstream o2 sensor. The culprit (after years of replacing o2 sensors and searching for the issue..) ended up being in the ignition coil. Not 100% relevant as you have coil packs, but the bad ignition was messing with timing and a/f ratios, this caused the o2 to kick the CEL on. Like I said, the o2 sensors simply report data, they don't create it, there may be a short, but if not the problem probably lies somewhere else.. You'll find it. As for coolant leak, wouldn't the one on the back of head be easier to get to? I thought the other one, on the engine that required pulling the engine or tranny?
I should have space in the shop in a few weeks and I don't have any trips planned until January so I should be good on this.
On the CEL. Could a bad ground contribute to this?

Not looking to make a race car out of my jeep, but need a little more giddy-up and have some engine work to do anyways. Just have a couple of questions, hopefully someone can answer.
Has anyone installed the new edelbrock cylinder head?
Is this a real kit or some sort of complicated scam? http://jeepm62superchargerkit.blogsp...mount-kit.html
Is there anywhere that makes a 2.5" down pipe or would that be a custom item?
Has anyone installed the new edelbrock cylinder head?

Yeah, me neither, but it's a fair price for a supercharger. The information on the site is plentiful and seems realistic and I think I heard about it from somewhere reputable. Wish he sold the kits on ebay or something where I would be fairly protected. If it is legitimate and I can find multiple people who are running them, that would sway me away from a 5.3 swap.

I thought that site was run by a user o here? It sounds REALLY familiar.
2.5" downpipe would be custom, yeah. Everyone seems to make the rest at 2.5", though!
