Just to blow stuff off. Mostly after cleaning and prepping for POR 15'ing. All that little compressor is good for. Found an answer to my hose question. Still coming out of a blow gun so the bigger hose would not decrease the force of the air coming out. Might even last a couple seconds longer because of air in the line before the compressor empties. Just saw the pricing of the crappy PCV hose and thought about buying one. Even though it came with one of those yellow coil hoses which will do what I need it to do.

There are these little sockets made for removing rounded nuts and bolt heads. They have a spiral cut inside, they're quite handy.

Thank you all for this help. Now I just have to decide wich of the two types to purchas, theres only about a two dollars difference in price.

However, before I decided to waste any time with maintenence on the 35 rear, and before I buy springs. I have somthing else to concider. I just came across a parts Cherokee for five hunderd, that I'm itching to buy . I currently have no place to take it appart so that would have to be resolved before I can decide to get it.
Owner says it has the dana 44 rear, factory tow package, and it's a running and it drives however he says it won't pass inspection due to rust underneath. Hopefully the axel not badly rusted too
I don't know if I could sell the Renix engine, or the trans from it, because that would make a big difference to me.

Is there there a market for those used engines?

I part XJs out for a hobby.

An engine someone can hear run is $500
Trans $250
Transfer case $200
Front axle with no disconnect $400
Alternator $30, starter $20, throttle body $30, radiator $40,
Rear end, not a 44, $200.
Need I go on?

Default Left Tail Light!

Hello Cherokee Friends!
I just posted a left tail light question. My first time posting, I usually get all my answers by researching this site. Any help trouble shooting the wiring greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hmmm, . . . It sounds like I could, buy the parts jeep for the parts I need, like the rear & suspention, plus many misc. interior parts. Then sell the rest of the drive train to recoup my cost. I just need to find a place I can put it while I take it appart.
So, with the engine . You say that it's worth five hundred if they can hear it run. Does that mean I should leave it in until it's sold, or can I just take video of it running be for I pull it?

I try to have them in the vehicle, but in a pinch I've done a video.

That depends on the buyer. You'll find out really fast that some people won't ever be satisfied, no matter what you provide. But it's always better if you can offer more in order to ease their concerns

i read somewhere that it would be a good idea to ground the blower motor housing to the chassis, any truth to this? Replaced my blower motor and read a lot about the fuse/connectors melting and would like to avoid this.

what i gathered is that you secure a wire to one of the blower motor screws (so no need to splice the wires) and bolt it to the chassis.

since it's a 96 does it differ from renix era XJs or they're the same. thanks
