So my air only comes out of the defrost vent, and yea I already know i have a vacuum line problem., I just need help finding out where the line should go so I can get my air to blow on me again. I got no AC but I still want o be able to use my heater. You can see the plugged vacuum line coming out of the fire wall, where does this go? I think I messed this up when I eliminated my heater control valve but I'm not sure. Here is another pic from before I eliminated the HCV and it looks like there is a vacuum line going to it but I'm not sure if aye related or not. I'll get better pics when I get back to the house. Thanks in advanced.

It's a vacuum issue overall meaning you need to check all the vac lines. From the vac ball all the way to the firewall. Time to start noggin pokin

yea, but the PO removed all the vacuum lines and what not all the way up to the fire wall. You can see the plugged line in the pic. I need to know where this line needs to go. Thanks. Also if someone can post pics of where the lines go on their jeep, that would be great!

Yea, that's a pinion shaft and I'm a dumb***, get over it. anybody know what size tap and die I would need to fix this. This caliper measurements don't simplify to a right size. Measuring tape is right between 3/4 and 7/8. Would size would this be? Metric measures 21.8 on shaft and 20.4 on nut

Help! Got a 1998 Grand cherokee with 213K miles, one owner, well maintained. It was idling rough so i bought a can of seaFoam for tank (used about 1/2. Bought the Throttle body cleaner as well and ran it according to instructions. Ran smoother but it was bogging down when accelerating yesterday and seemed to have trouble shifting gears. Transmission is fine.
Today it wouldn't run well at all. Now it will not start. Battery, starter motor all AOK. Yesterday I cleaned the engine compartment and used a soft stream of water to remove detergents. It started right up and idled OK. Wife drove it today and on way home it was running roughly, would shift past second and had no acceleration. Once I got it home, it started fine. Idled OK. I revved the engine up and it started racing up and down from idle on its own. Then it made weird noises and just stalled. Can't get it started. I remove air cleaner to expose throttle body. I do not see or smell fuel when trying to start it. I fear that it may have had the gas tank sediment clog up the filter or/and the fuel pump died. What's the best move. P.S. Check Engine light came on when wife was driving home. When I push odometer trip in and turn key to on, it reads 1.1. I'm outta ammo and at minimum need to get it running and get it checked for codes unless anyone has any advice. Low on $.

Never mind, I figured it out, ended up being 7/8-14. Got a tap and die set at harbor freights and it's good as new.

1996 4.0 - The shifting in my AX15 seems to get tougher to go into gear (no grinding just stiffer) as the engine temp goes up. Shifting seems fine when cool. I replaced a leaking master clutch hoping that would help, to no avail. Is there a problem with the slave cyl. or fluid getting to hot? Fresh correct fluids everywhere. Engine temp never goes above 210*. It has 136k and everything else is fine.

So here it goes I'm going to ask about the fuel system. I have an 88 with the IL6 and it is fuel injected. Now to try and speed this along these symptoms happen no mater the fuel level. So first off when coming to a stop or excelirating from one,(intersections, left, right or strait) it acts as if it's starved for fuel. Some times it acts like it is flooding its self when I attempt to excelirate from a complete stop and most of the time it has a strong odder of raw fuel or old shellacked fuel. Can any one in a constructive manner help me figure this out? I'd really like to fix this before it causes an accident.
