Must be. I replaced all the grommets and plugs on top of the valve cover this spring and haven't driven it a whole lot since then. Just finished rebuilding the motor so I was just hoping it wasn't something I did. That CCV stuff isn't too expensive but I need to re do the lines going to and from them as well I guess. All my stock stuff dry rotted and cracked and is back on there now with random hose I had.
Speedometer interchanges
Sorry if I piggyback or highjack someone's post, but I haven't figured out how to ask a new question, other than doing what I a doing.
My son has a 1993 Cherokee. The speedometer has quit working. I changed the speed sensor, checked the drive gear and it is working, but no speedometer.
I have a 1999 Grand Cherokee and am wanting to know if the speedometer head from this vehicle will interchange and work in the 1993 model?
I have read that the '97-'01 models have digital read on them, and the '92-'96 are electronic. The speedo head in the '99 dash looks the same as the '93 model, but was hoping for input before tearing the '99 dash apart.
Thanks,
WMac

Did you measure that off the pins in the headlamp connector itself? There's another connector up the line around the PCM where the headlight harness joins the engine bay harness. You can wind up with corrosion in there. Usually it's corrosion that kills the Putco relays anyway - anything that gives a poor trigger voltage will do them in. This includes a ****ty ground, DRL, or bad connection.
No relays in the headlight system at all. That's why the Putco's such a huge upgrade!

Is there a fuse for the backup/reverse lights alone? I have no reverse lights and both have new bulbs. Checked all my fuses and all good. Just wondering if I'm simply missing the fuse for it.

Like he said, likely your NSS. Common problem, and that's usually the first sign. Could also be the ground that's back in that area. As for fuses, a model year might help get you an answer

Had the jeep for three years. Never had reverse lights. If it was my nss. It would have went bad by now. It's a 94 Country.
