Default Antifreeze Mix

What parts do you guys mix your antifreeze?

Also, anyone ever had luck with the radiator stop leak? I just noticed a hole in my radiator after doing the head gasket. I guess that doing the coolant flush / pressurizing it might have poped a hole in the radiator. I have a parts one that I pulled, but it doesn't look to be in the very best of shape either. Also, I think that the trans. cooler lines will be a pita.

Advice always appreciated. Thanks!

In my area, near Chicago, we use a 50/50 mix. If I recall, that should be good for -15 or so. I would think it should be good in Maine, as well.

50/50 is the recommended average mix. As for that add to your radiator stop leak stuff... I would go against it unless it's only for a extremely short time. And even then I would think twice about it. That stuff goes to the hole and gums it up and then closes on it.... what happens to the rest of it once the whole is filled? I settles in places like your water jacket, and other passage ways inside of your engine and cooling system.

just buy the non-diluted coolant and mix it yourself. why pay more for half the antifreeze/coolant?
