Another vent problem
Hi all,
2000 XJ, 208k miles
I know this has been covered before, but I can't seem to find reference to the part(s) I need to replace.
Recently when using the air/heat I can get it to come out of the defroster vents no problem, but when switching back to the main top vents in the dash it almost doesn't want to switch. Even on full blast you can barely feel it coming thru the top vents, but then after a few minutes it seems to get better. Is it a mode door or selector or something going bad or broken?
Thanks!

You might need to be looking for vacuum leaks. Do you still have your vacuum bottle? If you don't have enough capacity it can be slow to switch or if you have a small leak the same thing can happen.
