im not going to get
a wire harnes cuz im puting in new speaker wire so ill just i ine fuse it
What's your address so I can get that keyboard on the way?
I'm assuming you said that you couldn't afford the harness. Seems to me that it just cost you a radio.
If you can find the same year XJ in a junk yard then yes you can cut the harness out of it. Just make sure you cut it long enough to splice back onto your wiring in your dash. Just match the colors back up and start over. Once again, for my piece of mind and your safety, please use crimp caps/butt connectors or solder and heat shrink.
The harnesses make installation a 5 minute job and can certainly save some electrical 'whoops'.
