Is everything really interchangeable with suspension for those years?

Every time I see a lift kit or mod, it gives that year range.

haha thats what i was wondering haha they might be but id do some research im guna be doing a 2"-3" lift on my 96 xj soon so yeah...

I THINK that 84-96 should be good and 97-01 will work too. But I'm NOT sure so don't quote me on that
